This is not a drill, Jake Gyllenhaal is looking for a new bae.
Gyllenhaal, 36, dropped by “Live with Kelly” on Friday and wasn’t the least bit surprised when Ripa started playing matchmaker. The “Brokeback Mountain” star was promoting his upcoming Broadway musical, Sunday in the Park with George, when the daytime talk show host reminded Gyllenhaal how she has tried, and failed, to set the actor up on countless occasions.

“Everytime I see you, I try to set you up with somebody,” Ripa admitted. To which Gyllenhaal sarcastically replied, “She’s obviously doing a really good job.” Ripa wondered if the actor is getting tired of her playing cupid, but he insisted she should “keep trying.”
“There’s 75 volunteers in the audience,” Ripa exclaimed to a raucous cheer from the studio crowd. Looking for someone to combat Gyllenhaal’s “introverted” nature, Ripa pointed out a fiery group of Brazilian women, who according to the television host, “You should know, they told me this, they’re wearing thong bikinis underneath their coats.”

“That’s one way to make a match,” Gyllenhaal giggles. It wasn’t just the women in the audience who were lost in Gyllenhaal’s dreamy blue eyes. Even co-host and “Walking Dead” star Jeffrey Dean Morgan was smitten with his fellow actor. “You can set him on a date with me,” Morgan proudly announced.
The Academy Award-winning actor’s new Broadway musical Sunday in the Park with George officially opens on Feb. 23.
