Adele’s Grammys tribute to George Michael broke the Internet.

In a brave move, she stopped the music to her version of Michael’s 1996 song, “Fastlove”, to get it right. She dropped an F-bomb, asking the producer to restart, at the beginning of her performance in memory of the late star who passed away on Christmas Day in 2016.

“I’m sorry for swearing and sorry for starting again, can we please start it again?” the British songstress said. “I’m sorry, I can’t mess this up for him.”

Despite the flub Adele went on to sing a moving rendition of “Fastlove” in honour of fellow Brit, Michael. Dressed in a long black velvet gown the singer paid tribute to Michael by wearing a black earring on her left ear, similar to his signature cross earring.

Anything can happen while singing live and the singer’s handling of the situation received applause and love all over social media.

Adele later apologized again during her acceptance speech, when Celine Dion presented her with the Song of the Year Grammy Award for “Hello”. She said she was sorry if she offended anyone anywhere – watch below.
