Fans Upset After Christina Grimmie Was Missed In Grammys ‘In Memoriam’

Fans of the late “The Voice” alum, Christina Grimmie, are outraged the singer was left out of the ‘in memoriam’ tribute at the 2017 Grammy Awards.

John Legend and Cynthia Erivo sang a moving cover of the Beach Boys’ “God Only Knows”, while a montage of late icons played on the screens above. Prince, George Michael, Leonard Cohen, Sharon Jones and Debbie Reynolds were featured.

But, as some viewers pointed out, Grimmie wasn’t the only one forgotten as Carrie Fisher and Pete Burns also didn’t appear on screen.

Not surprisingly, Grimmie fans took to Twitter during Sunday’s awards show to voice their upset.

Grimmie was fatally shot by a crazed fan in Orlando in June 2016, she was 22.

Confusion also broke when David Bowie and Eagles frontman Glenn Frey were missed, but they were previously honoured at the 2016 Grammys.
