Despite their spilt last fall, model Bella Hadid has nothing but love for ex-boyfriend The Weeknd. Hadid spills that she will “always love him” to Teen Vogue.
“It was my first breakup… and so public,” the 20-year-old model revealed. “As an outsider, you might thing I handled it so well, but it’s always in your heart, and you always feel it very heavily.”
Thank you to an angel @elainewelteroth Beyond getting this cover, I feel so grateful everyday to have met you, connected and become so close with such a beautiful soul like you–inside and out!!!! Hadid and The Weeknd called it quits last November after almost two years together. Us Weekly reported that it was their conflicting schedules that caused the breakup.
Hadid adds, “It’ll be hard for a while. Love hurts, but you have to pull through. But I’ll always respect him, and I’ll always love him. Sometimes you want to be sad about it or handle it differently, but at the end of the day, you never want to burn a bridge that you’ve fought so hard to build.”
The two stars have remained friendly since their public spilt and reunited while on stage at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in November 2016, just weeks after announcing they had broken up.
The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye) has recently been linked to Selena Gomez as photos show Gomez kissing the “Starboy” outside a restaurant in Santa Monica.
It is speculated that Hadid responded to the new romance by posting a photo of her walking away from a camera with her middle finger up, which took the social media world by storm.
Fans just can’t get enough of Hadid and she really has become every “schoolboy’s” crush, which she plays up in a Teen Vogue online video. The supermodel plays herself in an ’80s themed video where young actor Shane Stesner has a massive crush on the “Poster Girl” in his room. Check out the full video below.
