Hilary Duff’s ex-husband Mike Comrie, 36, is involved in a sexual battery investigation in Los Angeles.

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that there is an investigation underway for alleged sexual battery, but could not confirm details. The LAPD would not say whether or not Comrie is a suspect.
People is reporting that Comrie is under investigation for sexual battery. According to California law, sexual battery involves a person “touching an intimate part of another person” without their consent.

ET Canada has reached out to Comrie’s rep for a statement. And Entertainment Tonight contacted the lawyer who handled Comrie’s divorce from Duff in January 2016, but the lawyer said over email: “I have no information to share with you.”
Us Weekly reports that Duff, 29, spent Valentine’s Day in Costa Rica with her new boyfriend, Matthew Koma.
Comrie and Duff wed in 2010 and were married for four years before separating in 2014.
In the April 2015 issue of Cosmopolitan, Duff said, “Mike and I were very in love when we met… We both really wanted to get married.”
On the decision to split, she added, “It wasn’t working well enough to stay together, but there was still a lot of love involved.”
They share joint physical custody of their 4-year-old son, Luca.
