Lance Bass Claims *NSYNC Will Reunite But The Band’s Official Twitter Account Says Otherwise

In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight, Lance Bass revealed that he and the other bandmembers of *NSYNC will be reuniting to receive the band’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. But that doesn’t mean any new music.

“We’re doing something special. I don’t know if I can announce it yet,” Bass said. He then revealed that the band will be releasing a special 20th-anniversary edition of their 1998 Christmas album, “Home For Christmas” this year on vinyl.

“And then we’re going to be getting our star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this year at some point,” he said. “We’ll all be there! We just have to decide on a date. We’re terrible at planning things.”

“We’re five guys, so for us to make a decision about anything is really hard, so we just need to do it. So hopefully maybe around Christmastime,” he said. “It’ll be fun to see everybody again.”

Well, the band’s official Twitter account took the liberty of clearing things up: There is no planned reunion at the moment and no plans for any new music.

Bass also took to Twitter after his announcement sent shockwaves through the internet that *NSYNC was about to make their grand return:

Looks like we’ll have to keep waiting!
