The Greys Anatomy star has set up a page on the crowdfunding website “Indiegogo”;, she is looking for $130,000 to help fund her new animated feature.

Sandra and Canadian director Ann Marie Fleming are working together on the film called “Window Horses”;, which is a coming of age story about a Chinese-Canadian poet in Iran. Sandra has full faith in the upcoming project and its future success, going as far as saying that she “will be able to take that 80 to 90 minute film and stick it in front of five, 10 people who will each write me a check.”;

The actress will help produce the Canadian animation and she will also voice the main character, Rosie Ming, who travels to Iran to perform find her father at a poetry festival. She is really excited about the project, which doesn’t feel like work to her: “This is not like a job for me. I love doing it. I’m so happy to talk about it.”

The campaign was only setup on Monday and already has over $13,000, with 39 days left to contribute this animation should be in full production in a few months.

Anyone who helps fund the feature will receive a few perks that include a DVD, an invite to the premiere and a cameo in the movie… in the form of an animated character that resembles them, which is good enough for us!
