Erin Cebula got a whole lot more than she bargained for when she sat down with “Kong: Skull Island” star Tom Hiddleston — Marvel god, Internet (and Taylor Swift) boyfriend and now tamer of beasts.

Debating whether or not King Kong is the villain or the “romantic leading man” in this prequel of sorts, Hiddleston said, “I’m not sure how romantic he is, I don’t think you’d want King Kong taking you out on a date.”

The actor is, of course, referring to the beast’s relationship with his co-star in the film, Brie Larson, who follows in a long line of females who have narrowly escaped Kong’s grasps.

Following her stint as a photo-journalist and animal lover in the action-packed film, the Academy Award winner is setting her sights on Marvel Comic Universe domination, taking on the role of Captain Marvel. A role that, Tom thinks, she’s all too ready for.

“She doesn’t need any advice from me,” the 36-year-old British actor tells Erin. “She is an Academy Award winner.”

But the actor divulges he did share some stories from on set involving fellow Marvel veteran, Samuel L. Jackson.

“The difference between [“Kong: Skull Island”] and Marvel is, so much of my work with Marvel is on set, in an actual built set inside a studio,” he says. “There’s something magical about going to real-life locations. We went to Hawaii, Australia, and Vietnam.”

Being on location makes it a lot easier to play the part, he tells Erin. A “real-life waterfall” is much easier to respond to “even if Kong refuses to show up.”

“Kong: Skull Island” hits theatres March 8; starring alongside Hiddleston are Samuel L. Jackson, Brie Larson and John Goodman.
