Kristen Stewart takes on a major transformation as she graces the cover of V magazine’s V106 Free Spirit issue this month.
The star of “Personal Shopper” shows off a sleek, platinum cropped hairstyle as she rocks a look from her go-to label, Chanel.
Lensed by the legendary Mario Testino, the edgy editorial sees her don an array of ’80s-inspired looks as she opens up to fellow indie star Chloe Sevigny for a stripped-down interview in which she addresses the demands of Hollywood and her relationship with the one and only, Karl Lagerfeld.
Stewart, who recently conquered her fear of hosting “Saturday Night Live”, spoke cryptically about her life in the spotlight. “I was in front of 500 cameras promoting my films, but not the one. Not the intimate one,” she told the fashion publication. “Not the one that I really care about.”
Despite often shielding herself from Hollywood’s harshest critics, the reluctant star never fails to accept an offer from Chanel’s biggest campaigns. “Karl has always, from the very beginning, made me feel like being myself was the right thing to do. And in [the fashion] world, that is a rarity,” she shared. “He’s a compulsive and obsessive artist and it’s contagious. And he’s kind. He is who he is for a reason. I feel so lucky to be in his space so often.”
