Meg Ryan’s lust-worthy New York City loft has hit the market and will have you dreaming up a renovation of your own!
The “Sleepless in Seattle” actress is trading her sophisticated Soho apartment — envisioned by designer Monique Gibson, architect Joel Barkley and Ryan herself — for $11 million.
After taking ownership of the 4,100-square-foot home from Hank Azaria in 2014, Ryan transformed the bachelor’s paradise back to its pre-war glory, featuring glossy black mouldings throughout, a large yet cozy shaker-style kitchen, and a jaw-dropping wall-to-wall gallery view of the city.
Ryan’s interior design style has since been recognized by some of the best publications in the business, including Architectural Digest and Elle Decor.
“I love renovating. I think it’s tied to living the actor’s life,” she told Architectural Digest in 2016. “As an actor, you are so rarely in control. You’re always saying words that someone else has given you, standing in a room that someone else has designed, to create a reality that someone else wants to see. But with decorating I am in control; it’s a chance for me to bring my vision into the world.”
The three-bedroom, three-bath and key-lock elevator-accessible apartment could be yours for the market price of $10.9 million.
