Paris Jackson is making her way to the small screen!
The 18-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson will appear on an upcoming episode of Fox’s musical drama “Star”, which features Queen Latifah, Benjamin Bratt and a cast of young up-and-coming actors.
Jackson spills the details on how she got involved with the TV series: “When I heard about ‘Star’, I watched the first couple episodes and fell in love. I met Lee [Daniels] and he was kind of interested in getting me on the show.”
The rapidly emerging social media star and model – who recently signed with IMG Models – will play a bossy “social media, photographer chick” who only really has an eye for herself.
“This role is really opposite to me and, for it being my first real on-camera acting, I think it’s a good way for me to show my acting capabilities,” Jackson explains.
Jackson tells CR Fashion Book Issue 10 she writes music “as a way to get stuff out,” but has no plans of following in her father’s footsteps to chase a career in music. “If I were to do it as a career, it would change how I feel about music and I don’t want that to happen.”
But she still carries many influences from her late, legendary father: “I would say 99 per cent of my inspiration comes from him because he has always been my world.”
The young star also has a busy modelling career ahead of her after signing with IMG Models.
“I feel very lucky and blessed,” she says in an Instagram post.
