When Red Reddington returns after a winter hiatus, the international-criminal-turned-FBI-asset will face his most formidable foe yet, with TV Guide reporting that former Sons of Anarchy biker Ron Perlman has signed on to play a villain on The Blacklist.
Perlman will play Luther Braxton, “a meticulous thief who plans his international heists over the course of several months or years,”; says TV Guide. “The ruthless baddie creates great diversions and chaos to get what he wants — that is, until he faces off with Red Reddington (James Spader).”;
Perlman will appear in the show’s first episode after a holiday hiatus, a heavily hyped episode slated to air immediately after the Super Bowl that NBC execs are hoping will promote the show’s upcoming timeslot switch from Mondays to Thursdays.
The Blacklist winter premiere event airs Sunday, February 1 on Global (after the Super Bowl)
