Adam Levine Talks Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton: ‘It’s So Wrong That It’s Right’

As “The Voice” season 12 gets started with blind auditions, coach Adam Levine is busier than ever with the hit talent show.

But Levine stopped by SiriusXM’s “The Howard Stern Show” and gave a little insight on what it’s like working with such an A-list panel of judges, like Alicia Keys, and couple Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton.

Even Levine thought Stefani and Shelton’s relationship came as a surprise, “If you had told me Gwen Stefani was going to be with Blake Shelton I would have told you were out of your f**king mind. It’s so wrong that it’s right.”

The Maroon 5 singer is very close with the couple, in fact, he spends time with both of them but working together is a little different, “When you’re sitting in your chairs you think to yourself they’re having sex… it’s weird.”

But ultimately Levine agrees they’re a great match, “I see it as a beautiful thing. Love is a good wonderful thing.”

Shelton and Stefani aren’t the only famous-friends Levine has, he’s great friends with two-time Oscar nominee, Jonah Hill, who Levine asked to officiate his wedding. But it didn’t go as smoothly as everyone hoped, “He was extremely nervous.”

In fact, Levine said Hill was more nervous to officiate his wedding than he was at the Oscars, “I’ve never seen him more nervous in his life, which just goes to show we have a very loving friendship.”
