“Beauty and the Beast” star Emma Watson is taking legal action after dozens of photos of her from a wardrobe fitting were stolen and posted online.
“Photos from a clothes fitting Emma had with a stylist a couple of years ago have been stolen,” Watson’s publicist told the BBC. “They are not nude photographs. Lawyers have been instructed and we are not commenting further.”
Unfortunately this isn’t the first time the actress has dealt with this. Previously threatened with a leak of nude images after speaking on gender equality as a UN Ambassador for Women, Watson told a crowd at a Facebook event a year later that she “knew it was a hoax,” because “she knew the pictures didn’t exist.”

“The minute I stepped up and talked about women’s rights I was immediately threatened – within less than 12 hours I was receiving threats,” she said.
In fact, the founder of #HeForShe , a campaign encouraging men to become advocates for feminism, has taken any and all criticism pointed at her with grace, including the most recent “controversy” over her braless Vanity Fair photo.
Confused about the backlash, Watson responded to reporters’ questions during an interview, saying: “I really don’t know what my tits have to do with it, it’s very confusing.”
The backlash towards the outspoken feminist is just the latest in a series of hacking violations against women in the public eye, including Mischa Barton whose lawyer held a press conference this week to discuss reports of “revenge porn” against her client.
Amanda Seyfried is reportedly another victim of leaked nude photos. The actress’ legal team is going after a website that published several naked pictures of Seyfried, including some “intimate moments” with her ex-boyfriend – according to TMZ. Her lawyers fired off a threatening letter to Celeb Jihad stating the photos were illegally obtained by a third party and demanded they be taken down immediately.
Celeb Jihad, a website which frequently posts real and photoshopped nude photos of celebrities, removed the shots of Seyfried 24 hours after they were presented with legal documents. The website replaced the pics with nude scenes from Seyfried’s films and photoshopped nudes. “Amanda Seyfried is claiming that she is the copyright holder of the leaked photos, so we have replaced them with Amanda’s nude scenes and vastly superior naked photos,” Celeb Jihad posted.
Earlier this year, “Pretty Little Liars” star Lucy Hale told a hacker who stole nude photos of her to “kiss her a**.” And in February of 2017, the man responsible for hacking online accounts belonging to Jennifer Lawrence, Gabrielle Union, Kate Upton and more celebrities, was sentenced to nine months in jail.
