After a bit of a flop at the box office, last year’s “Ghostbusters” movie didn’t seem to make enough to get a sequel going. But the plans for more “Ghostbusters” films have really just been kept quiet.

Ivan Reitman, director of the first two films and who was involved in last year’s remake, has confirmed that there is an animated big-screen “Ghostbusters” in the works, along with more live-action movies.

This news comes after rumours of another film surfaced last year.

“We jumped into an animated film [after the last movie] and we are developing live-action films,” Reitman told i09. “I want to bring these stories together as a universe that makes sense within itself. Part of my job right now is to do that.”

No word yet on any release dates but the fans of the beloved films will be happy to hear about more installments.
