The wife of the late Notorious B.I.G., Faith Evans, works a new take on Biggie’s classic “Ten Crack Commandments” into a whole new song, “Ten Wife Commandments”.
The new track will be on Evans’ new R&B duet album with her late husband, “The King and I”.

“Ten Wife Commandments” makes some tweaks on the original; in Biggie’s version he sings, “Seven: This rule is so underrated,” which Evans changed to, “Gotta keep your feelings and your money separated.”
“The King and I” will be a compilation of both well-known Biggie songs as well as unheard Biggie verses. Guest appearances from Lil Kim, the Lox, Snoop Dogg and Busta Rhymes will also be featured.
Voletta Wallace, Biggie’s mother, thought of the idea about 15 years ago after she was inspired by Natalie Cole’s “Unforgettable”, which featured duets with her late father Nat King Cole.

“I didn’t know how it was going to come together in terms of how I was going to approach it when we did get the chance to do it,” Evans told Rolling Stone. “One day towards the end of recording, I was playing the album back for different people and I just felt a tap on my shoulder and I just started bawling like, ‘I think he just told me he’s proud.’ I turned around like, ‘Get it together.'”
March 9, 2017 marked the 20th anniversary of the rapper’s tragic death.
“The King and I” drops May 19.
