UPDATE: “Terminator: Genisys” Debut Trailer Hits The Web

UPDATE: Terminator: Genisys’ debut trailer has been released, showcasing all the metal-bashing, action-filling and time-traveling suspense that fans can expect of the new franchise film.

UPDATE: Terminator: Genisys has finally released a teaser video today, promoting tomorrow’s world premiere of the movie’s full trailer. The 15 second robot action preview features a T-1000 robot, an apparent time machine and a build up to an appearance by franchise veteran Arnold Schwarzenegger. The upcoming July 2015 movie will  also feature new faces like Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney, Jason Clarke and Matt Smith.

The machines in the Terminator franchise may have figured out how to topple humanity, but when it comes to figuring out how to use spell check, it seems they still have a ways to go. On his Instagram account today, Arnold Schwarzenegger revealed the title of the fifth Terminator movie. For fans eager to text about the movie on their autocorrect-enabled smart phones, it’s a title that’s going to cause a lot of problems. The photo that Schwarzenegger posted shows the 67-year-old star reclining on a director’s chair that has the words “Terminator: Genisys”; [sic] embroidered on the back, a strong indication that the movie’s title (formerly Terminator: Genesis) has been deliberately altered a la Inglourious Basterds in order to give the world’s copy editors a massive headache. Terminator: Genisys [sic] hits theatres July 1, 2015.
