UPDATE (Monday, Dec. 8): Two more names have been revealed for Barbara Walters’ annual ’10 Most Fascinating People’ special, with NFL star turned talk-show host Michael Strahan and billionaire philanthropist David Koch.

Strahan and Koch joins a roster that includes Oprah Winfrey, Taylor Swift, Neil Patrick Harris, Chelsea Handler and Scarlett Johansson, with the year’s most fascinating person to be revealed during the special itself.

You can catch this two-hour extravaganza on Sunday, Dec. 14.

UPDATE: November keeps getting better for Taylor Swift. Mere days after her new album, 1989, topped the charts with 1.2 million in first-week sales, the country-turned-pop star is crossing another accomplishment off the ol’ bucket list. That’s right: Taylor is set to be featured on Barbara Walters’ iconic Most Fascinating People special for 2014.

The 24-year-old joins previously announced names Oprah Winfrey, Neil Patrick Harris, Chelsea Handler, and Scarlett Johansson. And yes, we know that does’t add up to ten people: there are still more names a comin’!

Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2014 will air on on December 14.

Though it’s never made entirely clear whether the “honourees”; are supposed to be fascinating to us the general public or merely to host Barbara Walters, these annual specials truly indicate the arrival of so, so many year-end lists, polls, graphs, charts, and however else we can measure the past 365 days.

This year, walking through fields and crying on Barbara’s shoulders will be Oprah Winfrey, Neil Patrick Harris, Chelsea Handler, and Scarlett Johansson. The rest of the 10 will be announced shortly.

“I was absolutely delighted when ABC approached me to do another year of ’10 Most Fascinating People’,” said Walters.  “I know we said last year was our last, but there are just too many fascinating people out there… and you never pass up the opportunity to interview Oprah, Neil, Chelsea, or Scarlett.”

The special will air on Sunday, December 14,  9-11 p.m. ET

To whet your whistle, here’s an interview Walters conducted with “Family Guy’ creator Seth MacFarlane from 2012.
