If you’ve got “99 Problems”, this pricey champagne might be one of them.
Hip hop mogul Jay Z is launching a new champagne blend from the Armond de Brignac champagne brand, also known as “Ace of Spades”, of which he owns a portion.
The new bottle, Blanc de Noirs Assemblage Two, is expected to come with a hefty price tag of approximately C$1,140 according to Bloomberg. It is anticipated that champagne connoisseurs will have to act fast because only 2,333 bottles of this future collector’s item will ever be produced.
“We hadn’t thought about numbering them originally. But customers and collectors were requesting specific numbers: 888, or their birth date,” the brand’s CEO Sebastien Besson said. “We anticipate they may only be available for a few months.”
Blanc de Noirs Assemblage Two will be available for purchase on April 18. The $1,140 price tag marks a slight jump from the “Holy Grail” rapper’s last blend, which launched at roughly $1,020 in 2015.
