Drake’s ‘More Life’ Tops The Billboard Charts For Third Consecutive Week

Drake’s “More Life” continues to dominate the charts, topping the Billboard 200 for the third consecutive week.

As Billboard reports, “More Life” remains at the #1 position on the charts, racking up an additional 136,000 equivalent album units during the week ending April 6, according to Nielsen Music.

However, Billboard also notes that number represents a 40 per cent decline over the previous week, when “More Life” earned 226,00 units.

Drake’s three-week stint at #1 marks first time this an album has spent three weeks in the top spot since June 2016, when that same milestone was achieved by… Drake, whose “Views” wound up spending its first nine weeks at #1 after its debut in May. In fact, notes Billboard, “Views” later returned to spend three more weeks at #1 from July 30-Aug. 13, and then returned to the top spot on the charts one final time on Oct. 8.

Rounding out the rest of the top 10 in the Billboard 200: Ed Sheeran’s “Divide” holds steady at #2; Kodak Black’s “Painting Pictures” is #3; Brunos Mars takes #4 with “24K Magic”; the “Beauty and the Beast” soundtrack is #5, while the “Moana” soundtrack takes #6; Mastadon’s “Emperor of Sand” debuts at #7; Future’s self-titled album lands at #8; Migos’ “Culture” takes the #9 position; and Mercy Me lands at #10 with “Lifers”.
