Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley Announce Epic ‘Star Wars’ 40th Anniversary Fundraiser

A stay at Skywalker Ranch, partying at “The Last Jedi” premiere, and a spot in the upcoming Han Solo movie are up for grabs.

In anticipation of the 40th anniversary of “Star Wars”, “Star Wars: Force For Change” — a Disney and Lucasfilm charitable initiative — is teaming up with fundraising platform Omaze for the “Star Wars Past, Present and Future” campaign.

“The Last Jedi” stars Mark Hamill and Daisy Ridley put their awesome chemistry on display when announcing the campaign, which will raise money for Starlight Children’s Foundation and UNICEF.

The first prize honours the history of the franchise: A one-night stay for two at Skywalker Ranch, plus a tour of the ranch, which includes a peek at the “Star Wars” archive that houses original props, costumes, and set pieces. Oh yeah, there is also a private screening of “A New Hope” in it for the winner!

The second prize will no doubt be a star-studded affair: a trip to Los Angeles for the premiere of “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” and an invite to the star-studded after-party.

Prize #3 might just be what those with the acting bug are itching for: a trip to the set of the upcoming Han Solo movie and a chance for a walk-on role in the film.

As extra incentive, even those who don’t win the big prizes can still take home some limited-edition swag available at various levels of donation.
