* Fans of Frozen just can’t let it go, and Disney’s animated hit was named 2014’s “Entertainer of the Year”; by Associated Press — even though the movie was released in 2013! In 47 ballots submitted by members and subscribers of the AP, Frozen won top honours with 12 votes. Taylor Swift came in second with eight, while Matthew McConaughey and Jimmy Fallon tied for third with seven votes apiece. [AP]
* Although it won’t hit theatres until April, the first trailer for Ryan Reynolds’ upcoming Woman in Gold has just been released. Ryan plays a lawyer who assists a woman (Helen Mirren) who’s trying to retrieve valuables that were stolen from her family by the Nazis during the Second World War. Take a look:
* Meanwhile, Ryan’s wife, Blake Lively, has revealed her family’s holiday tradition: hanging around in bed together! “Christmas is really just about being with family so we never leave the house,”; Lively said in this video for The Kit website. “We’re together all day whether we’re making gingerbread houses or making cookies or sitting around watching movies, all piled up.” [The Kit]
* A surefire way to get in the holiday spirit is to check out this video of One Direction’s appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, with the boys singing a spirited rendition of “Santa Claus is Coming to Town”; accompanied by The Roots — playing only elementary-school classroom instruments. At the very least, it’ll serve as a warm-up for 1D’s very first U.S. network TV special, airing tonight on NBC. [The Tonight Show]
