Meghan Markle Set To Attend Pippa Middleton’s Post-Wedding Celebration As Prince Harry’s Date In May

People is reporting that Meghan Markle is set to be Prince Harry’s date on May 20 for Pippa Middleton’s wedding. Kinda.

According to the magazine’s source, she will not be attending the church ceremony for the wedding but she will attend the post-wedding celebration. Royal protocol does not allow unmarried or not engaged partners of guests to attend the event, which is why Markle won’t be at the church.

It is becoming more and more clear that the two are getting very serious if Markle is planning on being Harry’s date to the upcoming nuptials. The couple was recently spotted in Toronto on the weekend, marking her beau’s first trip to the city since December 2016.

Myka Meier, the founder and director of Beaumont Etiquette, reveals to People that Prince Harry was probably not even given a plus-one for the wedding. “The wedding guest list would have most likely been made in fall of last year when Prince Harry’s relationship with Meghan was not as public,” Meier explained.

Meier recommends that only when the relationship is serious should they bring a plus-one. “Pending how intimate Pippa wants to keep her wedding, she may very well follow the ‘no ring, no bring’ rule,” she shared.

Prince William and Duchess Kate are set to be in attendance for the wedding with their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

This news comes after the announcement that Markle has ended her relationship with Canadian fashion retailer Reitmans and recently shut down her lifestyle blog, The Tig. All of this has people speculating that an impending engagement is coming soon from the couple.
