Even the most hardcore “Star Wars” fans have little good to say about the prequel trilogy that followed the transformation of Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) into iconic space villain Darth Vader.
One of the many facets of the movies that is most criticized by fans is the clunky dialogue, with one scene in particular standing out as among the worst: when Anakin, in “Attack of the Clones”, shares a romantic moment with Padme (Natalie Portman) and is moved to explain his disdain for sand, the scourge of his home planet of Tatooine.

“I don’t like sand,” complains Anakin. “It’s coarse and rough and irritating, and it gets everywhere.”
During an appearance at Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, Florida, Christensen made a special appearance, and offered the perfect response when the interviewer asked: “What are your thoughts on sand.”
As the audience laughed, the Vancouver-born actor offered a thoughtful response. “Well you know, it’s not very smooth. It doesn’t really stay in one place, so I’m not such a big fan of it myself although if it leads to the water I can tolerate it,” he said, adding: “But Anakin came from a desert planet so I understood his contempt for it.”
