Alison Brie, Aubrey Plaza Are Sinfully Funny In ‘The Little Hours’

Aubrey Plaza and Alison Brie are wickedly funny in their new film “The Little Hours”.

The movie follows a trio of young medieval nuns, Alessandra (Alison Brie), Fernanda (Aubrey Plaza) and Ginerva (Kate Micucci), who act like they’re perpetually on Spring Break.

The trio spend their days in a myriad of sinful ways: sexual deviance, witchcraft, spying on one another and constantly berating the estate’s labourer. After one particularly vicious assault, the convent is forced to hire new help, which comes in the form of a virile young servant, played by Dave Franco, who is forced into hiding after sleeping with his former Lord’s wife.

Introduced to the nuns as a deaf-mute (to discourage temptation) Franco’s character struggles to maintain his cover as the convent dissolves into utter chaos.

The Sundance comedy written and directed by Jeff Baena, co-stars Molly Shannon, Fred Armisen, Jemima Kirke, Nick Offerman and Adam Pally and is slated to hit theatres June 30.
