The new historical drama tells the story of a love triangle between an Armenian medical student, an American journalist and an Armenian-born woman during the Armenian Genocide.

The movie’s portrayal of the Ottoman government’s 1915 mass killings of Armenians has angered some users and led to an online retaliation. A Turkish online forum organized an attack on the film’s IMDB rating ahead of its April 21 release, according to The Washington Post.

As of this writing, the movie sits at a 5.3/10 rating with over 61,000 people rating it a 1/10 — a stark contrast from the 60,149 people who rated the film 10/10.
