With new entries in the Avengers and Jurassic Park franchises and the big-screen adaptation of steamy novel Fifty Shades of Grey on the horizon, 2015 is shaping up to be a banner year for moviegoers.

Even with all that competition, one film stands above all others when it comes to anticipation: Star Wars: Episode VII — The Force Awakens.

That was the result of a new survey from movie website Fandango, which polled readers about which movies they were most looking forward to in the coming year, with J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars sequel leading the pack.

The survey also asked readers to name their favourite male and female stars, with Robert Downey Jr. and Jennifer Lawrence topping the respective lists.
