How’s this for a nationwide party? ET Canada’s New Year’s Eve at Niagara Falls was a ratings juggernaut on Wednesday night / Thursday morning, boasting an audience of over 4.2 million viewers. And yes, that’s a 29% increase over last year, making it A) Canada’s top-rated program at the stroke of midnight, and B) the highest-rated ET Canada New Year’s Eve broadcast ever.

And how about those musical guests? Keith Urban, Nick Jonas, Shawn Mendes, and Lights rocked the Falls with a series of electrifying performances. To boot, the Nickelback boys gave a preview of their Rdio Session at the Orange Lounge (scheduled to air January 5 on ET Canada).

And here’s the icing on the cake: the official show hashtag #ETCanadaNYE became Twitter’s number one trending topic in Canada.

“Wow, what a night! ET Canada proved once again why it is the nation’s powerhouse entertainment program by delivering a seamless show that went unrivaled by any other live Canadian program,”; said Phil Piazza Vice President, Content Acquisitions, Global TV Programming & Entertainment Tonight Canada, Shaw Media. “From Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman sharing a midnight kiss, to a worldwide exclusive performance by Nick Jonas and Shawn Mendes singing Lean on Me, there were so many incredible highlights from the night too long to list.”;
