Even the most veteran runway walker can trip now and again.
Stepping out on the red carpet at Tuesday’s Time 100 gala, 29-year-old honouree Ashley Graham was all kinds of fierce, posing for photos in her Cami NYC high-slit silk dress.
Girl was giving us life with her on-point poses until tragedy struck, and Graham’s Jimmy Choo heel snagged the back of her dress.
But, being the pro that she is, Graham’s stumble was only for a moment, after which she composed herself and laughed it off like a bawse.
Post-red carpet mishap, Graham explained how she thinks young women can become more body positive.
“I think that a lot of women judge themselves and they judge themselves on the way that they look,” she told People magazine. “Whether it’s skin, age, race, size, class, all of it, and if you just saw the woman in the mirror and you just really accepted who she was and started looking at yourself as a role model, things might change in your life.”
The model, who recently gave fans a raucous behind-the-scenes look at her latest collaboration with Addition Elle, was recognized at the event as one of 2017’s 100 most influential stars and honoured by Tyra Banks, who called her fashion’s new “queen.”
“It is time for everyone to bow down to the fashion industry’s—no, make that beauty’s—new queen,” Banks said of her friend’s power and influence.
And later, she posted a shot with body-confident Demi Lovato, who swapped her bright blue Zuhair Murad carpet look for a sleek black look.
