Haim fans are probably having a good day.
The band released a fresh batch of music, including their new single, “Right Now”, on Beats 1 Radio Thursday morning, including a live performance of their new tune.
Director Paul Thomas Anderson (of “Boogie Nights” fame) was the one who suggested that the trio make their video a live performance in the studio to “make it feel more organic” and give it a “making of the album” feel.
Fun Fact: The girls also revealed to host Zane Lowe that the famed director was also once taught by their mom, who is an art teacher.
The video features a drum breakdown, which circles back to the teasers the band dropped leading up to their new single.
The new single will be a part of the band’s new album, “Something To Tell You”, set for release July 7th. You’ll also be tickled to see that they are performing on “Saturday Night Live”‘s second last show of the season, with host Melissa McCarthy.
