There won’t be any shortage of action come American Memorial Day weekend! The History Channel has it all covered with their latest miniseries Texas Rising — an eight-hour series following the origins of the Texas Rangers.

Starring Bill Paxton, Ray Liotta and Brendan Fraser, the first official trailer for the western is jam-packed with guns, swords, and of course, death!

Texas Rising hits television screens on May 25, with the first episode of the series opening in 900 theatres ahead of the network premiere. Check out the first official trailer for the drama below:
