The hit song “Don’t Take the Money” from indie band Bleachers has a couple powerhouse women behind the lyrics and the lens.
Frontman Jack Antonoff and “Green Light” singer Lorde co-wrote the track for Antonoff’s second album with Bleachers, but it was his real-life girlfriend Lena Dunham who brought the song to life in this colourful music video.
The video, stars Antonoff, “Arrested Development” actress Alis Shawkat and twin models Giulia and Camilla Venturini.
In an Instagram post, the singer revealed “Don’t Take the Money” was inspired by his own relationship with Dunham, whom he’s been dating since 2012.
