Netflix unveiled a new look at Naomi Watts in its upcoming psychological thriller series, “Gypsy”.
Watts plays Manhattan therapist Jean Halloway, a woman with a picturesque life who begins illicit relationships with the people in her patients’ lives in the 10-part series. Halloway descends into a world where her fantasies and reality blur, placing her professional and personal life at disastrous odds.
“I will always provide a safe and trusting haven for my patients,” Watts’ Halloway says in the teaser clip, as her actions clearly don’t match her words. “I will remain objective in my relationships. I will not violate the physical boundaries of the patient. I will always do no harm.”
Along for the ride is Billy Crudup as Halloway’s husband, Mark, Sophie Cookson, Lucy Boynton and Karl Glusman.
Directed by “Fifty Shades Of Grey”‘s Sam Taylor-Johnson, “Gypsy” is set to be released on June 30.
