Cast and crew of the Oscar-nominated picture Selma will join Oprah Winfrey in Alabama on Monday to commemorate Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday.

Director Ava DuVernay and lead actor David Oyelowo will take part a the march, held on the American national holiday — Martin Luther King Day.

Selma tells the story of MLK’s contributions to the civil rights movement and the voting protest of 1965 in Alabama. Winfrey, who appears in the film, served as a producer on the Paramount Pictures drama.
