Prepare to bow down to Tom Holland!
The “Spider-Man: Homecoming” actor delivered the ultimate show-stopping performance during Sunday’s “Lip Sync Battle”, literally making it rain on stage.
Since the series’ debut two years ago, celebs have pulled out all the stops for their lip sync numbers. But 20-year-old Holland’s mash-up of “Singin’ In The Rain” and Rihanna’s “Umbrella” just may be the show’s best performance of all time.
Holland and his “Spider-Man” co-star Zendaya competed in a gender-bending showdown that had audiences out of their seats.
Following Zendaya’s smash performance of Bruno Mars’ “24K Magic”, Holland hit the stage with a classic Gene Kelly tribute with “Singin’ In The Rain”. Clad in a trench coat and umbrella, the Brit actor paid tribute to the iconic musical, tap-dancing his way through the standard routine.
But Holland had more up his sleeve for his “Lip Sync Battle”, ducking behind umbrellas on stage. The actor shed his trench coat to reveal a black bustier and fishnets, reminiscent of Rihanna’s barely-there lingerie in the 2007 “Umbrella” music video.
As the audience jumped to their feet in awe, a wigged Holland strutted his stuff on stage, busting out his unbelievable dance moves with scantily-clad female back-up dancers and umbrellas as Zendaya and host LL Cool J lose it over his risque performance.
But the actor didn’t stop there. What’s an “Umbrella” number without a little rain?
Splashing around in the rain, Holland uses his gymnastic skills to deliver a must-see close to his incredible performance.
Zendaya and LL Cool J weren’t the only ones in awe of Holland. The Twitterverse couldn’t get enough of the star’s “Umbrella”.
