We’ve seen Kirsten Dunst in roles ranging from a homicidal hairdresser in “Fargo” to a blood-craving child in “Interview With The Vampire” to a woman who shoots lightning from her fingertips in “Melancholia”, but it’s a safe bet we haven’t seen her in anything as weird as “Woodshock”.
That’s immediately apparent in the just-released trailer for the upcoming movie, in which she plays a woman beset by personal tragedy who turns to a powerful cannabinoid drug that takes her on a mind-expanding journey to some very strange places.
The trippy new indie film marks the directorial debut of Rodarte designers Laura and Kate Mulleavy, with the film’s official synopsis describing the flick as “a hypnotic exploration of isolation, paranoia, and grief that exists in a dream-world all its own.”
The psychedelic trip is set to begin on Sept. 15, when “Woodshock” makes its theatrical debut. In the meantime, you can check out the trailer above.
