First Look At Nicole Kidman And Elle Fanning’s Alien Punk Rock Cannes Film ‘How To Talk To Girls At Parties’

An alien Elle Fanning gets a lesson in punk rock courtesy of Nicole Kidman in three brand new teasers for “How To Talk To Girls At Parties”.

Ahead of its Cannes debut on Sunday, Fanning, director John Cameron Mitchell and author Neil Gaiman took to Instagram to debut the first teasers for the film.

The film follows the young alien Zan (Fanning)  who breaks away from her group while on a tour of the galaxy. On her own on Earth, she meets two young punks from the most dangerous place on the planet: London’s suburb of Croydon. Naturally, one of the earthlings falls in love with the exotic alien visitor, setting them up for a whirlwind romance and education on all things Earth-based.

“What’s punk?”, Fanning’s inquisitive alien asks her new friends before being introduced to Boadicea (Kidman), an edgy punk rock queen who’s leading a revolution in a spiky platinum wig and leather.
