John Boyega and the cast of London stage play “Woyzeck” faced some tense and terrifying moments when they and the audience at London’s Old Vic Theatre were quickly rushed out of the theatre due to a reported bomb scare.
As Associated Press reports, theatre staff halted the performance and asked cast and audience to evacuate the building, which included the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” star and his fellow actors.
With London under high alert following the suicide bombing at Monday’s Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, police are reportedly taking every precaution — especially considering the historic theatre is located near London’s busy Waterloo Station.
One of the theatregoers took to social media to share a photo of police arriving on the scene.
All seems to be well, however. Following the incident, he Old Vic Theatre shared some brief bits of information on Twitter, announcing the incident “was found not to be suspicious,” and revealing that, upon the advice of police, tonight’s performance “will go ahead as planned.”
