Prince Harry’s Heartbreaking Reaction To Diana’s Death Revealed In ‘Diana: 7 Days That Shook The Windsors’ Documentary

Princess Diana’s sudden death shook the nation and left her young sons, Prince William and Harry motherless.

In the new documentary “Diana: 7 Days That Shook The Windsors”, royal biographers reveal the heartbreaking truths from the moments to days after her loved ones heard the tragic news.

“Prince Harry actually asked his father, ‘Is it true that Mummy’s dead?'” biographer Tina Brown explained. “The children couldn’t understand why everything was as normal, except a couple hours earlier they’d been told their mother had died.”

The new documentary goes into the depths of the family’s reaction to Diana’s death, which was to “do as they had always done,” meaning heading to church in Balmoral where William then 15, and Harry, 12, woke to the news of the car crash.

The film will reveal the Queen requested there to be no mention of Diana or her death at Sunday morning mass as she feared it would further upset William and Harry, which, to the public made it seem Her Majesty was acting with “cold detachment.”

Viewers will also learn of William’s plea to grieve privately, he initially refused to partake in funeral arrangements.

“Diana: 7 Days That Shook The Windsors” premieres Tuesday, May 30.
