Andrew Garfield let his inner drag queen loose last night, surprising audiences at a drag show in London to perform an amazing lip-synced rendition of Whitney Houston’s “I’m Every Woman”.
The actor made a surprise appearance at the London stop of the Werq the World Tour, a drag show featuring favourites from “RuPaul’s Drag Race”.
Host and former “Drag Race” judge Michelle Visage introduced Garfield, “already in character,” who then went on to dance out the classic Whitney track in glorious fashion.
Garfield was at the show with fellow castmates from the new National Theatre production of “Angels in America”, Tony Kushner’s epic play about being gay and living through the AIDS crisis in the 1980s.
Later, on her Instagram account, Visage thanked her “new friend” Garfield for performing at the show, writing, “I am SO proud of you for not just lip syncing Whitney tonight in a wig no less, but for opening your mind and heart to all it has to offer.”
Also at the show? “Orange Is The New Black” star Laverne Cox!
