Jonas Brothers’ Father Diagnosed With Cancer

Kevin Jonas, father of the Jonas Brothers, has announced that he’s been fighting cancer for several months.

“Papa” Kevin, the father of Kevin, Joe, Nick, and Frankie Jonas, told the news to an NBC Charlotte reporter.

Jonas, 52, was diagnosed with colon cancer in March.

Jonas’ sons cancelled events and changed their schedules to be with their father when news of his diagnosis came.

“They were shaken,” Jonas told NBC Charlotte.

The patriarch is back in his hometown of Belmont, North Carolina, after going through surgery and receiving treatment at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.

Though he says his prognosis is good, he will still have to undergo chemotherapy treatments.

Thankfully he’s going through that in Belmont, where he and his wife Denise opened a diner called Nellie’s Southern Kitchen, with their youngest son Frankie working in the kitchen.

“I never thought I’d live in Belmont again, but you settle in with life,” Jonas says. “It’s been amazing.”
