* Drake’s still got those acting chops. The Canadian recording titan (and Degrassi: TNG alum) gets introspective in a new short film that premiered on his website. Jungle is an arty atmospheric piece that features clips from the rapper’s past (howdy lil’ Drizzy!) and loads of shots of our hero looking extra contemplative. Naturally, there’s also a lot of Toronto slathered in this thing. Give it a watch and send us your thoughts on Drake the Auteur.
* Guy Ritchie’s big screen adaptation of The Man From U.N.C.L.E. now has an ultra slick trailer for the sampling. Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer (who you’d think would be scared off of modern redos of classic TV after The Lone Ranger bombed) star in this comedy infused action flick which also features Hugh Grant in the cast. This 60s set flick centres around the exploits of an unlikely CIA agent + KGB agent combo that pair up to stop a mysterious international criminal organization. The trailer (available for viewing below) promises style and a fair number of explosions. The Man From U.N.C.L.E. hits the multiplex on August 14.
