Apparently Jerry Seinfeld doesn’t need his fix of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians”.
The mind behind “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” revealed how he lost his cool when he caught his daughter watching the Kardashians’ reality TV show. “I never lose it around them. The one time I really, really got upset was when my daughter was watching the Kardashians on her phone in her bed and I could not take that scene,” Seinfeld told Mr. Porter.
“For someone who for their whole life, television was the Olympics of being a comedian,” said the massively successful “Seinfeld” star. “It was only for the very best. You had to have everything. You had to go through all the different hierarchies of your career to get to television.”
Seinfeld, 63, doesn’t think “KUWTK” is the only offender — noting how he is “offended by reality television on many levels” — but the Kardashian spectacle is definitely the most egregious. “The premier example of reality television,” Seinfeld called it. “These people are not doing anything interesting. I lost my temper with that one.”
The comedian is one of many, many names to have slammed the Kardashians in the past and joins an all-star list including Amy Schumer, Daniel Craig, Chelsea Handler, Seth MacFarlane and Rob Reiner.
Seinfeld’s “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” made a big jump this year from Crackle to Netflix, with twenty-four new episodes to be streamed in 2017 and 2018.
