Jennifer Lawrence’s private plane was forced to make an emergency landing due to engine failure.
J-Law is A-OK following the incident, the actor’s rep told E! News. A source told the publication that Lawrence’s plane was coming from Louisville, Kentucky, when one of the engines failed at 31,000 feet.
The pilots moved to make an emergency landing, at which point things got even worse: the other engine failed. The plane ultimately managed to land safely in Buffalo, New York. Emergency vehicles were on hand in Buffalo to check on everyone aboard the flight.
The FAA are investigating the incident, and released a statement giving details on the emergency landing, saying, “A Hawker Beechcraft BE40 aircraft landed safely at Buffalo Niagara International Airport in New York at about 1:40 pm on Saturday. The crew diverted to Buffalo when they declared an emergency due to engine-related issues. The flight was heading to Teterboro Airport in New Jersey from Louisville, Kentucky.
“The FAA does not release the names of those on board the aircraft,” they added.
Lawrence, 26, was in Kentucky visiting family. The “Passengers” star has reduced her acting schedule compared to prior years, with this year’s “Mother!” being her only leading role in 2017.
