* Chris Hemsworth is bringing his brawn, sexy good looks, and yes, humour to Saturday Night Live. The Avengers actor has signed on to host the ever-popular late night show on March 7. Which is a Saturday, but you’ve probably figured that out. And here’s an extra bonus: the musical guest is none other than the Zac Brown Band. Sounds like a win/win!
* Why party like a rock star when you can party like a royal? The first trailer for A Royal Night Out has arrived and tells the story of a pre-Queen era Elizabeth II hitting the town with Princess Margaret at the close of World War II. The incognito royals revel in public in this upcoming cinematic offering that is “based on untold true events.”; Julian Jarrold directs the film, which features Sarah Gadon, Emily Watson, Rupert Everett and Bel Powley in the cast. The flick’s set to hit theatres in Britain on May 15, but no details have be revealed on when to expect A Royal Night Out reaching our shores. [Indiewire]
* Steady yourself, Marvel has revealed a brand new poster for Avengers: Age of Ultron. The hotly anticipated sequel is being teased with the mugs of the first flick’s heavy hitters (Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow and the like), plus new additions like Quicksilver (played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen tackles that role). Check out the poster below and try not to freak out waiting for May 1 arrive. This movie will open soon. We promise.
* It’s never too early to teach your kids about the dirty dealings of politics, right? Okay, that’s not really where Sesame Street is going with their House of Cards parody, but it is kinda wild to see these two TV offerings cross paths. House of Bricks features Frank Underwolf trying to huff and puff his way into the White (Brick) House. Will he succeed? You don’t need Netflix to find out. Just hit play on the video below.
