James Corden Sends Donald Trump 297 Copies Of ‘Philadelphia’

On Tuesday night’s episode of “The Late Late Show with James Corden” the host took a stand against Donald Trump.

Corden talked about the six members of the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS who stepped down last week from their positions. Why? Because, according to them, Donald Trump “simply doesn’t care about HIV and AIDS.”

Since more than 60 per cent of the more than 1.1 million people in the United States who are currently living with HIV and AIDS don’t have access to lifesaving medications, Corden asked if the president truly cares about the citizens of the country.

The host went on to explain that as a kid, he watched the Tom Hanks movie “Philadelphia”, which inspired him to educate himself about the illnesses. For Corden, it is clear that Trump’s indifference was due to his not seeing the film.

So, in an effort to change Trump’s mind, Corden sent 297 copies of the movie to Trump’s home in Mar-a-Lago, Florida.

“We hope that if Trump watches ‘Philadelphia’ he’ll understand two things: One, Tom Hanks definitely deserved that Oscar. And number two, we hope that he’ll realize that HIV and AIDS is something that you or any president of the United States, or any world leader for that matter, can never afford to ignore,” he said.
