Michael Weatherly may have shocked fans with his exit from “NCIS” last year, but the actor tells ET Canada he could be persuaded to return to the hit drama.
“I don’t know what the story is with that, but I would never rule anything out,” Weatherly tells Matte Babel in Amsterdam. “I love ‘NCIS’ and I certainly love the character of [Anthony] DiNozzo, and I miss all my friends over there – particularly the crew, who were my buddies for a long time.”
Now, the 48-year-old is starring in “Bull”, the number one new drama of last season, returning to Global TV for season 2 this fall. While leaving the security of a bona fide smash like “NCIS” marked a risk for Weatherly, he seems pretty thrilled with how things panned out!
“I think we knew we had a formula for success early on,” he says. “As we’ve been going on, we’ve been refining that, and I think season 2 is gonna be an expansion of character. Maybe a little less emphasis on the technology and explaining how the trial system works, and more about the stories and the people.”
As for rumours that his former “NCIS” co-star, Cote de Pablo, might appear on “Bull” next season? See what he says in the video below!
