If you thought Miley Cyrus was back to her old pre-“Bangerz” self, then think again. In her latest interview, with ITV’s “Lorraine”, the 24-year-old is raising a few eyebrows yet again.
Sitting down with the show’s Ross King, the pop singer explained why she considers herself to be “weird.” “I’m weird because I feel very genderless, I feel ageless, I feel like I’m just a spirit soul, not even divided by human being,” she told King. “I treat the animals the same and hopefully treat the planet with as much respect as possible.”
Confusing viewers further, Cyrus tried to explain her take on life: “I feel very much like there’s no ‘us’ and ‘them,’ there’s no me and you,” she continued. “I feel like I want to be everything and also be kind of nothing. I just want to be myself.”
Despite labelling herself as weird and rejecting labels all at once, the self-proclaimed Dolly Parton mega-fan went on to claim that people who dislike the country icon — who just so happens to be Cyrus’ godmother — are “weird” as well. “I was saying last night that if you don’t like Dolly you’re weird,” she stated. “And if I’m telling you you’re weird that’s saying something because I’m the weirdest person I know.”
“No-one doesn’t like Dolly… She’s all super respectful and love. She’s such a great musician and also a great role model,” Cyrus added.
