Kim Kardashian Talks Business With ‘Adweek’, Discusses Her $74-Million Social Media App

Kim Kardashian is on the cover of the latest issue of Adweek, and tells the Madison Ave. trade magazine about how she launched an app called Hollywood that has already brought in a whopping $74 million in revenue last year, and is reportedly estimated to bring in $200 million more in 2015.

One of the reasons behind the app’s popularity, she explains, lies with the popularity of Kim and her famous family. “I think that adding my family members [as characters] and a bunch of cameos will get people excited,”; she says.

In fact, Kim says she’s only scratched the surface, and has more app ideas in the pipeline. “I hope to have a bigger presence in the tech world,”; she tells Adweek. “I love coming up with different app ideas, and I have a few more that are coming out.”;

One of the keys to mastering social media, she adds, is not to take things so seriously. “You have to have a sense of humour every once in a while,”; she explains. “So many people think that taking so many selfies is just ridiculous. For me, what’s so funny is I love taking pictures and posting them on social media for memories. I genuinely love the glam of life and hair and makeup and all of that, so I love just sharing my life with people—that’s who I’ve been.”;
