Noel Gallagher has always been the kind of guy to speak 100% what’s on his mind. But it’s been a while since his from-the-hip opinions have nabbed any headlines. Until now, that is.
In a new interview with Rolling Stone, the former Oasis frontman had a few choice words to say about Taylor Swift.
It all started with a discussion about the current state of pop music, with the interviewer suggesting many folks consider Taylor a good songwriter. And Noel, being Noel, immediately took exception.
“Who says that? Her parents?” the 47-year-old said, laughing. “Name these people. You’re f**king lying.”
Noel added, “She seems like a nice girl, but no one has ever said those words, and you f**king know it.”
For what it’s worth , Taylor seems to be esteemed company: the singer also blasted Kanye West, saying he didn’t know the meaning of the word “artistry.’
